Unlike many other buggy kits currently available in the UK, the Doon kit is supplied as standard with a strong and well designed steering support bar. The support bar fixes to both sides as well as the bulkhead to ensure the bar is solidly fixed in position to prevent column movement.
The design allows for either a standard classic VW Beetle steering column or a number of modern alternatives. We have already fitted new beetle, Golf mark 4 and various VW polo options to our kits and Volksmagic can offer a fully compatible modern steering column upgrade on request.
